The Sauce team pools together decades of restaurant tech experience, along with seasoned tech, sales, marketing, product and operations executives who produce an industry-changing delivery system for successful local restaurants and chains.
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Sauce, you’ll be the first voice a restaurant hears. Your job is to start the conversation: identify the right prospects, spark their curiosity, and set up high-quality meetings for our Account Executives. You’ll be part of a fast-moving sales team that’s redefining how restaurants think about delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect daily via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to restaurants that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Personalize outreach to help prospects understand how Sauce’s 0% commission model and delivery tech can solve real problems.
  • Qualify leads based on business model, cuisine type, delivery volume, and online presence — we value quality over quantity.
  • Book meetings that convert. Your goal isn’t just volume — it’s value.
  • Update the CRM consistently with notes, next steps, and task completion to keep the sales team moving.
  • Collaborate with AEs and sales leaders to refine messaging and improve targeting strategies.
  • Follow up creatively and persistently with warm leads who may need a nudge.

  • Meetings booked and accepted by AEs
  • Lead-to-meeting conversion rate

  • CRM activity, task follow-through, and pipeline hygiene

You Might Be a Fit If You...

  • Have 2+ years of outbound sales experience, ideally in SaaS or restaurant tech
  • Are a confident communicator who can hold attention on a cold call or write a DM that gets a response
  • Know the difference between a lead and a real opportunity
  • Are organized and metrics-driven — you measure what matters
  • Respond well to coaching and thrive in a high-feedback environment
  • Have experience with tools like HubSpot, Slack, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and similar

Bonus Points For

  • Experience selling to or working with restaurants, especially SMBs or franchise groups
  • Previous work in a remote sales team
  • Strong understanding of the delivery and online ordering space
