Who you are
We are hiring a Junior Global Operations Analyst embedded in our Mexican operation — serving as a key contributor supporting the Global Product & Engineering teams and local operational execution in Mexico.
This role will support the performance and reliability of key automated internal processes that underpin Zubale’s Supply & Demand Engine, while ensuring alignment between global product priorities and the operational needs of the Mexican market.
It requires a highly analytical executor who understands the business, can collaborate cross-functionally, and is eager to automate and improve day-to-day processes — especially those related to zubalero support and payments — including through AI tools and global standardization efforts.
What you will do
- Execute, maintain, and improve recurring operational workflows that support zubaleros in Mexico.
- Own and lead payment processes to zubaleros — including automation, validation, reconciliation, and exception handling.
- Operate and troubleshoot core daily scripts (Python, Airflow) powering local operations.
- Support the configuration and automation of client billing and collection reconciliation processes.
- Monitor and optimize key zubalero support flows, reducing manual effort and improving SLA adherence.
- Actively contribute to global projects focused on automating and standardizing critical operational processes, ensuring adoption in Mexico and sharing local learnings with global teams.
- Collaborate with Global Product, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure Mexico’s needs are reflected in global tooling and roadmaps.
- Maintain and update business rules and decision logic in coordination with Ops and Product stakeholders.
- Track and report on key KPIs via dashboards (Looker/Superset) and drive data-informed improvements.
- Work from the Mexico City office at least 2x per week to stay closely connected with local Ops and leadership.
The skills and experience you will bring
- Advanced SQL skills (daily usage for operations and analysis).
- Python experience (ability to run, debug, and modify operational scripts).
- Strong execution skills and attention to detail in recurring operational workflows.
- Experience working with Airflow or similar orchestration tools is a plus.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to run and continuously improve key processes.
- Proactive communicator with strong collaboration skills across global and local teams.
- Ability to balance execution of local priorities with contribution to global initiatives.
- English proficiency required; Spanish native or fluent.
Nice things to have:
- Experience with Looker / Superset or similar BI tools.
- Background in logistics, gig economy platforms, or operations-heavy environments.
- Familiarity with AI tools or automated decision systems to optimize operational flows.
