In this position you will report directly to the Global Finance Leader and dotted to General Manager of Mexico

1) Flexifleet: Freelancer Marketplace to perform picking, packing, and delivery tasks for retailers and aggregators.

2) Fulfillment Optimizer: Modular Software to increase productivity in eCommerce picking, packing and delivery.

Who you are

You are a dynamic and results-driven individual to join Zubale as the Head of Finance Mexico. This key leadership role will be integral to the success of our organization, requiring a candidate with a strong finance background, strategic acumen, and excellent accounting and communication skills. Also high knowledge of SAT, IMSS and local taxes/compliance. As the Head of Finance Mexico, you will serve as the right hand to the General Manager, playing a crucial role in providing timely financial information and insights to drive strategic decision-making and ensure the achievement of our business goals.

What you will do

1. Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Mexico Business Leaders to create budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Plan and control the cash flow with all the details related to inflows and outflows.

2. Accounting and Reporting:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and present timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Understand and review the monthly VAT report and payment as Corporate Income Tax and other municipalities taxes.

3. Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.

4. Business Partnership:

  • Work closely with the general manager to understand business needs and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Act as a financial advisor, providing guidance on financial implications of various business initiatives.

5. Taxes, SAT, IMSS, Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies to safeguard the financial health of the organization.
  • Manage the relationship with the accounting outsourcing to provide quality information and implement best practices according to Fiscal Advisory

The skills and experience you will bring

1. Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master or specialization in Finance or MBA.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role

2. Skills and Abilities:

  • Team management and team development proven experience.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Strong knowledge of IMSS and SAT regulations
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting customer teams to drive financial performance.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and forecasting abilities.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and taxes principles and practices in Mexico
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • English and Spanish fluency required; Portuguese nice to have.
  • Nice to have: CPA certification.
