What Do We Do?
Triple Whale centralizes and simplifies all the metrics used by Shopify sellers, enabling them to save more time and make more money. We help e-commerce businesses accurately track and forecast all kinds of metrics, including changes in profits and operational metrics. Our goal is to infuse AI into e-commerce, empowering shops to have an accurate picture of their business and make optimal choices that boost their bottom line. Launched in mid-2021, Triple Whale already has over 11,000 clients, top-tier investors, and growing hubs in Columbus, North Carolina, and Israel.
Triple Whale is looking to hire an Israel-based U.S. CPA to oversee our U.S accounting needs. This is a hands-on role, where you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all of our U.S. accounting needs. You will report directly to our Head of Operations and work closely with our Israel controller and finance team. This is a hybrid role, 3 days a week from our Jerusalem office.
Our ideal candidate will be super savvy with Netsuite, have past experience working at a tech company and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
Responsibilities
* Netsuite: Work exclusively within the Netsuite environment.
* Monthly/Quarterly Close: Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of account reconciliations, analysis and presentation of the monthly consolidated financial close. Prepare all financial reports.
* General Accounting: Manage general ledger and all sub-ledgers. Maintain the company's overall system of accounts, books, and records on all company transactions and assets.
* Manage and implement technical accounting and tax pronouncements. Stay current and adopt all new technical accounting pronouncements.
* Audit: Manage the day-to-day audit process including the preparation of support, financial statements and interactions with our external audit firm.
* Manage our global tax and treasury operations in the U.S.
Requirements
* 5+ years of relevant experience in finance-related roles at a global hi tech startup.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is highly preferred.
* Experience with Netsuite absolutely required.
* Strong knowledge of accounting and ledger systems.
* Strong understanding of GAAP accounting.
* Ability to take regular calls/meetings in the late afternoon/afternoon with the U.S. team and third parties.
* Extremely curious and thrive in a problem solving stage of company growth.
