We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to work independently on crafting intuitive, user-focused designs for ecommerce platforms. This role involves utilizing Shopify’s Polaris design system and animations to create seamless merchant-facing interfaces while ensuring a delightful experience for end-users.

Responsibilities

• Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for ecommerce websites and applications.
• Customize app interfaces and Shopify store themes using the Polaris design system.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact user experiences.
• Create polished visual designs, animations, and micro-interactions to elevate the customer journey.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design.
• Proficiency with Figma or Adobe XD.
• Solid experience designing for ecommerce, ideally within the Shopify ecosystem.
• Understanding of UX best practices, accessibility, and conversion optimisation.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with Shopify Polaris and merchant UX patterns.
• Experience designing upsell, checkout, or cart-related features.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for collaboration with developers.
• Skills in animation tools such as After Effects, Lottie, or GSAP.
• Exposure to AI tools to streamline design workflows.
