The Sales Development Director is a key leader in the US GTM Leadership Team. The essential responsibilities of the Sales Development Director are to build and lead a team of SDRs to generate new logo pipeline for ScaleOps through outbound activities. You will build the function from scratch with support from company leadership, so prepare to get your hands dirty.

About you: You are an experienced sales development leader with a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing teams in startup environments. You are focused on execution and obsessed with making progress every day. Passionate about coaching, continuous improvement, and exceeding targets, you excel at delivering results in a dynamic environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a world-class Sales Development team, driving the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of team members.
  • Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales development strategies that align with ScaleOps' overall business objectives and market positioning.
  • Coaching & Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing hands-on coaching to team members to refine their skills, optimize performance, and drive individual and team success.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the Sales Development function. Utilize data and analytics to inform decisions and drive outcomes.
  • Target Achievement: Develop and manage metrics and KPIs to ensure the team consistently meets and exceeds lead generation and sales-qualified opportunities (SQOs) targets.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to ensure alignment on messaging, targeting, and overall go-to-market strategies.
  • Market Insight: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to continually refine and adapt sales development strategies.

What You Bring Along:

  • Experience: w5+ years of experience in sales development, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role at a high-growth startup. Proven success in building and scaling sales development teams.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Results-Oriented: Track record of consistently exceeding pipeline and revenue targets through disciplined and strategic approaches to sales development.
  • Coaching: Passion for mentoring and developing sales talent, with a focus on continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions, improve processes, and deliver results.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present to executive leadership.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
