Job Description
At Sagetap, content isn’t just marketing—it’s the lifeblood of our brand and growth strategy. As our first Viral Content Marketer, you will be the voice of Sagetap, spearheading multichannel campaigns for driving rapid growth across social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, and beyond), email, and our website. You’ll produce thought leadership content, data-driven insights, and other creative content that captivates senior enterprise executives and drives new user signups.
Your role is strategic and hands-on: You’ll collaborate with designers and video editors to produce compelling written posts, videos, graphics, and reports for social media, repurposing those assets for newsletters and SEO website content. You’ll also create, manage, and improve automated email campaigns. Your willingness to innovate, experiment, and iterate quickly will position Sagetap as the authoritative voice in enterprise software discovery.
What You Will Do:
Grow Social Presence & Engagement: Develop and execute strategies that rapidly boost followers, reach, engagement, and user signups on Sagetap’s corporate channels as well as the personal LinkedIn and Twitter accounts of our CEO and Head of Growth.
Create Compelling Written & Visual Content: Write and curate high-impact thought leadership and data-driven posts. Manage the production of dynamic videos and infographics, collaborating with designers and video editors to bring fresh ideas to life.
Manage Email Marketing Campaigns: Own the planning, writing, and execution of automated email sequences and targeted email campaigns via Customer IO. A/B test subject lines, visuals, and copy to drive higher open and click-through rates.
Repost & Distribute Content: Maximize SEO and readership by republishing content on our website, in newsletters, and across relevant channels—ensuring a consistent brand voice and driving user signups and ongoing engagement.
Measure & Report Success: Monitor key performance indicators (social engagement, email performance, new user acquisitions from content) and present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000.
Qualifications
2-5 Years of Content Marketing Experience: Demonstrated success creating viral social content, managing email campaigns, and driving brand visibility—ideally in a B2B or tech-focused environment.
Strong Writing & Storytelling Skills: You can craft copy that resonates—whether it’s a 280-character tweet, a LinkedIn article, a video script, or a punchy email subject line.
Creative & Trend-Savvy: Skilled at spotting emerging trends, jumping on viral moments, and shaping content that aligns with our brand and stands out in a crowd.
Proactive & Agile: Comfortable iterating quickly, juggling multiple campaigns, and thriving in a high-growth startup where priorities can evolve rapidly.
Collaborative & Communicative: Skilled at working cross-functionally and articulating ideas, feedback, and results to various stakeholders.
Data-Driven & Analytical: Familiar with social media and email metrics (engagement rates, open/click-through rates, conversions) and using insights to refine strategies.
Platform Knowledge: Practical experience using social scheduling tools, email marketing software, and basic SEO principles to expand reach and visibility.

Remote-Friendly: This role can be performed from anywhere. Our distributed team primarily collaborates across US time zones, so US-based applicants are preferred.
