About The Role
As our first Creative Designer, you won’t just shape how we look—you’ll shape how people feel about what we do.
You’ll own design across every channel and campaign, crafting bold, engaging work that drives action and tells our story. From performance ads to brand kits to city partner marketing, you’ll help define how Rec, and cities all over the country shows up in the world—on screens and in the streets. We want to bring amazing, modern, design to every element of your local community recreation.
What You’ll Do
Own Rec’s brand design across digital, print, social, and physical experiences
Create visuals for campaigns, launches, and events that tell the story of Rec
Build and evolve Rec’s brand system—templates, guidelines, and visual tone
Turn ideas into prototype and visuals that resonate with city leaders and rec staff
Design signage, IRL, and digital experiences that will become fixture of communities
Design consumer- and enterprise-facing assets that are clear, emotional, and effective
Collaborate with Sales + Product + Marketing to let visuals get the message across
Move fast, ship often, and keep quality high without getting stuck in perfection
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of brand, marketing, or content design experience—ideally at a startup
Impeccable taste and passion for great design (illustration, typography, color, etc). Yes we expect you to raise our team's bar for great aesthetics.
Experience designing for both B2B and consumer
You move and design fast — you’re comfortable with iterations of design to match the speed of the teams you’ll work with who often need turnarounds same-day, and willing to jump from print to digital to photography
You’re fluent in Figma and Adobe
You have passion for what we’re building — recreation for everyone.
Pay & Benefits
Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 base + meaningful equity (final offer will be based on your background, experience and skillset)
