MX Customs Analyst (Mexico) -

Job Description

We are a fast-growing company focused on streamlining U.S.-Mexico cross-border trade through efficient and modern customs brokerage solutions. As a Junior Customs Broker Associate based in Mexico, you will play a crucial role in managing communication, documentation, and processes for both U.S. and Mexican customs operations.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing incoming requests, ensuring timely documentation processing, and maintaining seamless communication with both U.S. brokers and Mexican brokerage counterparts. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, bilingual, and experienced in cross-border logistics. Your success will be measured with SLAs including volume, defects, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Email Management:
  • Monitor and manage all incoming requests related to MX customs documentation and processes.
  • Organize and prioritize emails to ensure timely responses and task follow-ups.
  • Create and update orders in the internal system based on requests received from Mexican brokers or clients.
  1. Customs Operations
  • Ensure that customs documents are shared promptly with the customs broker when ready.
  • Maintain open communication to resolve any queries or discrepancies.
  1. Collaboration with Mexican Customs Broker Counterparts:
  • Coordinate with Mexican brokers to send and receive necessary customs documents and information.
  • Monitor the status of document processing and address any gaps in the documentation flow.
  • Ensure that both Mexican and U.S. brokers have what they need to meet customs deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both English (C-1) and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 6 months of customs brokerage experience or 1+ year in logistics with a strong interest in customs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage email communication and document flow effectively.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and across borders with a customer-centric approach.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with U.S.-Mexico cross-border customs regulations.
  • Experience with digital platforms for customs or logistics management.
  • A degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
