Role Summary

MarketMan builds restaurant management software for SMB and mid-market restaurant operators. Our sales team sells it directly to the people who run those businesses, and we win by understanding the operational and financial pain behind each one.

We're hiring a full-cycle Account Executive whose primary motion is outbound. You'll own every revenue opportunity across inbound, outbound, and partner channels, but the job is built on pipeline you create yourself: you self-source the majority of it. Inbound is a supplement, not the job.

The bar is a minimum of 100 outbound activities per day across calls, emails, social touches, and sequences. We publish that number because it's the prospecting discipline that fills your pipeline and feeds your quota, and we inspect outbound production every week. You carry two measured expectations: a new-business quota and a self-sourced pipeline target.

Please note: you must reside in one of the following states to qualify for this role - AZ, CT, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, MI, MO, NC, NH, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA

Read This Before You Apply

This is a high-volume outbound seat. If you need warm inbound leads handed to you, or a defined book of business to work, you'll be miserable here, and it's better for both of us that you know that before applying. If you've built pipeline from cold, hit quota doing it, and can show the numbers, keep reading.

What You Will Own

  • The majority of your own pipeline, generated through 100+ daily outbound activities across calls, email, and LinkedIn.
  • A new-business quota with a 100% attainment expectation. You'll close restaurant operators in the 1–3 location range and progress at least 3 opportunities per day.
  • The full sales cycle: value-based discovery that surfaces operational and financial pain, tailored demos (an average of 2 per day, inbound plus outbound combined), objection handling, and negotiation through to signature.
  • A clean Salesforce pipeline. Next steps and close dates updated in real time, every deal on a scheduled next step within 72 hours, forecast accuracy within 10%.
  • Pipeline coverage of 3.0–3.5x entering each month, and a clear view of where the gaps are.
  • Working relationships with Marketing, Partner Managers, and the SDR/BDR team that move deals forward, while your number never depends on them.

What You Will Bring

Must-haves:

  • Proven outbound production, with numbers: activity volume, self-sourced pipeline created, and quota attainment you can walk us through.
  • Full-cycle closing skills, from first discovery call through negotiation and signature.
  • Salesforce (or similar CRM) fluency and the hygiene habits to keep it accurate in real time.
  • A track record in an outbound-heavy sales model.
  • High accountability. You own your metrics, your recaps, and your results without being chased.

Nice-to-haves:

  • SaaS sales experience in SMB or hospitality tech.
  • Familiarity with restaurant technology such as POS, accounting, or restaurant management software.
  • Time in a hybrid outbound/inbound or BDR-to-AE model.

How We Operate

You'll sell out of Salesforce, follow MarketMan's standardized sales process, and uphold our discounting rules. Each day ends with a short recap covering wins, losses, pipeline movement, and next steps, and you'll bring pipeline insights to team syncs. Success looks like consistent monthly quota attainment, pipeline created from both channels, and win rates that improve because your discovery does.

Compensation

Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission tied to quota.
