LJL was founded by Jeff Milton and Tamar Grossman in 2021 to design and build the world’s most efficient drug discovery pipeline for RNA therapeutics. Both Jeff and Tamar have over a decade of experience in RNA therapeutics, leading programs from target identification and validation to drug design, screening and lead-identification. Several of the programs they worked on are currently in late stage clinical development. They both served in leadership roles at Ionis Pharmaceuticals and Arcturus Therapeutics. Tamar led multiple programs in metabolic, cardiovascular, inflammatory, ocular and neurological areas, while Jeff led teams in high throughput RNA screening technology and bioinformatics. Tamar is now the Global Head of RNA at J&J and strategic advisor to La Jolla Labs while Jeff has taken the helm as CEO.
