Constrafor is looking for a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career. As the Director of Engineering, you'll be responsible for leading our engineering team alongside our CTO. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our technology and contribute to our growth during this pivotal high-growth stage. You will lead, mentor, and grow our engineering team. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical direction, development, and delivery of our product suite. Working closely with the CTO and Product leadership, you’ll ensure that our technology strategy aligns with our business goals and that our product development processes are efficient, scalable, and innovative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent.
  • Manage performance and career development for team members.
  • Oversee all aspects of product development, including architecture, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our systems as we grow.
  • Work closely with Product, Design, and other teams to define and deliver on product roadmaps.
  • Implement and optimize development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Foster a culture of automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing new ideas to the team.
  • Encourage a culture of experimentation and innovation within the engineering team.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, Postgres, and AWS, with a deep understanding of architectural best practices.
  • Deep understanding of software development, architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Strong background in system design, data architecture, and scalable infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve complex problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: $180,000 to $220,000
