Position Overview

This is a dynamic role which spans diverse compliance topics from supporting the General Counsel in tracking new regulatory developments, developing and updating policies, procedures and training resources, responding to customer questionnaires, and tracking internal compliance with company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and overseeing Candex's corporate compliance program.
  • Update compliance policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions Compliance, and Health & Safety, among others.
  • Pursue initiatives which promote a culture of compliance and embed compliance in the daily activities of Candex employees.
  • Collaborate with Compliance colleagues, HR, and other stakeholders to execute training and awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership on CSR and ESG initiatives.
  • Cultivate the Compliance brand through the development and maintenance of annual training sessions, and oversee employee compliance with training requirements.
  • Manage metrics and reporting, including annual compliance, CSR, and other company reports.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to develop compliance resources for employees and to respond to customer inquiries.
  • Respond to customer compliance questionnaires covering topics including anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, safety and environmental controls.
  • Support compliance and related initiatives identified by senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (BA or BS)
  • Three to six years of experience in compliance at an international company
  • Experience drafting policies, procedures and reports
  • Anti-bribery/anti-corruption and anti-money laundering subject-matter expertise
  • Experience with general compliance topics (e.g., conflicts of interest, anti-harassment, ethical business practices)
  • CSR/ESG experience is a plus
