The Position:
Location: This is a hybrid/onsite position based in our San Diego location.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Manager to support the development and commercialization of Decipher's bladder cancer portfolio, with initial focus on the TrueMRD minimal residual disease (MRD) assay for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) and the Decipher Bladder Genomic Subtyping Classifier for patients with bladder cancer.
This role will be instrumental in helping bring these precision oncology tools to market by participating in core team meetings, driving product development deliverables, shaping commercial positioning, and ensuring alignment with customer needs, clinical utility, and market trends. The ideal candidate brings a blend of scientific acumen, market insight, and cross-functional execution skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Core Team Involvement
- Serve as the product management representative on the TrueMRD and Decipher Bladder Genomic Subtyping Classifier core teams.
- Collaborate with R&D, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to define product requirements and support development milestones.
- Track and manage product development deliverables, timelines, and documentation to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Help prepare for internal reviews and stage-gate deliverables.
- Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor the MRD and bladder cancer testing landscapes, including competitive product developments, clinical trials, and scientific publications.
- Conduct primary and secondary market research to better understand customer needs, value drivers, and market opportunities.
- Track competitive threats and synthesize insights to inform differentiation strategy and roadmap planning.
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercial Support
- Support development of positioning, messaging, and value proposition for TrueMRD and Decipher Bladder products.
- Collaborate with medical affairs and marketing teams to provide input into content strategy, including sales training, promotional materials, and conference assets.
- Engage in voice of customer activities to gather insights that directly inform product strategy, positioning, and development priorities.
- Support commercial launch planning by contributing to launch timelines, cross-functional readiness activities, positioning strategy, and development of key materials.
- Portfolio Integration & Strategic Input
- Develop a deep understanding of the Decipher Bladder portfolio and contribute to roadmap planning across products and indications.
- Identify potential synergies between MRD and subtyping products to build a unified Decipher Bladder story.
- Provide insights to support business development, publication planning, and evidence generation strategy.
Who You Are:
- Science educational background with marketing experience is required
- B.S. with at least 5 years of industry marketing experience OR master's in science, with at least 3 years of industry marketing experience
- Background in oncology, genomics, or urology-related diagnostics strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with MRD, molecular diagnostics, and the oncology clinical development environment a strong plus.
- Strong project management skills with ability to work across functions in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex scientific information for different audiences.
Travel
Up to 15%, including attendance at internal team meetings, scientific conferences, and customer events.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
